In short, financial coaching is beneficial to those looking to get more financially organized, set/reach different financial goals and feel a greater sense of financial wellbeing.
My goal as a financial coach is to educate you and give you the skills you need to better manage your own money. At the end of each session, you should feel as though you are taking steps down a more prosperous financial journey. You should feel more confident about your own money management and overall financial wellbeing.
As your financial coach, I can help with the following:
- Getting out of debt faster
- Budgeting
- Increasing income
- Saving up for big purchases such as a house, car, travel or wedding
- Preparing for retirement
- Building wealth
Furthermore, I provide accountability. Knowledge is great, though useless without taking action. I help you take control of your finances by putting change into motion.
Before we get started, there are two very important things to note about financial coaching.
One is the difference between financial coaching and financial advising. As mentioned above, financial coaching guides you to making better money decisions. You remain in control of your money at all times and decide which steps to take. Financial coaching does not at any time include the actual managing, investing or allocation of your money, as done in financial advising. You may find yourself actually working with both, first a coach and then an advisor.
The second important thing to note is that financial coaching is fee based. What that means is that you pay a fee for my service. In other words, I am not paid through any investments or financial institutions. This is important to note as it puts me in an unbiased position.
